Integrations
The best integration is the one you no longer need.
Legacy SIS estates are defined by their seams: a CRM beside the record, nightly syncs between admissions and registration, reconciliation between billing and enrollment. When those functions share one platform and one student record, the integrations between them stop existing — and the estate that remains is small, deliberate, and live.
What one record removes
Seams that stop existing.
Each of these is an integration a typical estate runs — and maintains, monitors and debugs — that has nothing left to connect when the record is one system.
- CRM ↔ SIS
- Recruiting, admissions and the record share one platform; there is no handoff to sync.
- Admissions ↔ registration
- An admit becomes a student on the same record — no re-keying, no nightly load.
- Billing ↔ enrollment
- Charges assess from actual enrollment natively; the reconciliation is unnecessary.
- Advising ↔ records
- Advisers read the record itself, not a copy with a lag.
What remains, live
Connected to the campus you already run.
Salesforce is the most integrated platform in enterprise software: every object in the student record is addressable through documented APIs, changes publish as real-time event streams, and MuleSoft and the AppExchange carry thousands of pre-built connections. What follows is not a roadmap — these integrations exist, and the estate they form is live.
- Financial aid
- PowerFAIDS, Regent and Campus Ivy run in production at our client institutions, tying the aid chain — for US institutions, ISIR intake through COD reporting — into the same record as registration and billing.
- Payment gateways
- Student financials live natively on the record; established gateway integrations take the payments. TouchNet, Nelnet Campus Commerce, Transact and Cashnet on campus — and Flywire for cross-border tuition, in 140+ currencies.
- Transcript and credential networks
- Transcripts are produced natively and delivered through the networks receiving institutions verify against: the National Student Clearinghouse and Parchment in North America, Parchment’s Digitary network internationally, My eQuals in Australia and New Zealand, MyCreds in Canada.
- Learning management
- Established routes to Canvas, Moodle and Brightspace — courses, sections and enrollments flow to the LMS the institution already teaches in, and activity flows back to the record.
- Identity and single sign-on
- SAML and OpenID Connect are native to the platform. Microsoft Entra ID, Okta and Google all federate directly — one campus identity, from application to alumni portal, wherever the campus is.
- Finance and ERP
- The general ledger the institution runs — student AR posts to it, not around it.
These systems stay because they should: they serve the whole institution, not just the student record. The difference is that each now connects to one authoritative record instead of arbitrating between several.
